Mandate description

Mandate of financial and organizational advice conducted on behalf of a major player in early childhood in French-speaking Switzerland, as part of the reorganization of its operational structure And of strengthening its internal control system.

The mission aimed to structure key management indicators relating to the daily activity of establishments, in particular the Attendance with children, the distribution by age and gender, as well as the Number of days of weekly attendance.

The aim was to increase the reliability of the internal database, of standardize operational reporting And of facilitate strategic decision making at the seat level.

Key issues

The main challenges consisted of:

  • centralize and homogenize management data from the various sites;
  • optimize monitoring and reporting processes, in order to improve the readability of performances by establishment;
  • and strengthen the link between operational data and financial analyses for more agile management.

The mission took place in a context of network growth And of professionalization of management tools, requiring one approach at a time technical and educational with local teams.

Approach and results

The intervention consisted of design and deploy a consolidated management table, integrating data relating to children enrolled, attendance rate, age structure and distribution of costs by activity.
This new reporting architecture allowed:

  • one better visibility on occupancy and profitability rates;
  • one improving the quality and reliability of data;
  • And a standardization of follow-up processes at the group level.
